new this morning---a woman is hurt after a shooting on milwaukee's ?northwest? side. side.here's a look at the scene.the shooting happened around 10 last night near 67-th and keefe.police say... a 29-year-old woman reported hearing shots down the street... while standing in her front yard.she then realized... she had been ?shot.?she was taken to a local hospital.she's expected to be okay. 3 now to a developing story... milwaukee police are looking for suspects involved in a drive-by shooting.. that hurt.we're told a group of boys was sitting in a car in riverwest near holton and hadley... when someone opened fire...then drove off.cbs 58 talked with the mother of another teen in that car. isabel jackson says she waited patiently behind police tape for about two hours... as milwaukee police questioned her 14-year-old son. 3 18:44:05 its a disgrace to our younger children that they have to live through all of this violence, and they have to see and go thought this. nobody's children should have

fonseca i hope my little brother learns from this because i don't want to be a sister that lose they brother. 3 milwaukee police have not released any information on suspects at this time. looking ahead--- the west allis man accused in ?two? deadly shootings... will be ?arraigned? this morning in milwaukee county court. court."zachary hays" is accused of ?shooting and killing? his neighbor in ?west allis? back in may.that's the case... at the heart of today's appearance. hays is also accused of shooting at a car on i-90/94 just hours later. one of the bullets ?hit and killed?... mother from illinois.hays has pleaded "not guilty by reason of mental disease" in that case.he's awaiting a psychological evaluation. 3 brazen thieves in washington county. officials say windows were smashed in at least ten vehicles... while the owners were just a few feet away... watching their kids play soccer. these pictures give you an idea of the damage.the smash and grabs happened at "heritage trails county park" in the town of polk on sunday. the washington county sheriff says they found six s-u-v's...

milwaukee mayor tom barrett's ?proposed budget? for next year.while laying it out... he explained the increase ?homeowners? could expect. expect.12:38-57 the 2017 tax- levy budget totals $263 million. that's an increase of $7 million over 2016. the proposed tax rate will increase seven cents. the average home will see an increase of $26.40 in city taxe. taxes. 3 mayor barrett also wants to spend 127 (m) mill ?more? this year on the police department and its pension... compared to 10 years ago.the proposal also gives nearly 11 (m) million dollars to ?fix lead lines? at more than 380 daycare centers across the city.. and to ?replace? 300 exisiting ?residential? lines. the city's "finance and personnel committee"... will look at the budget before the common council votes on it. a federal judge has refused a union's demand to block wisconsin's right-to-work law. law.it's the law that bans businesses and unions from requiring all workers.. not just union members.. to pay

claims the law is unconstitutional. but a judge yesterday... upheld it ...citing a ruling upholding a similar law in indiana. 3 it will cost the city of kenosha ?25-thousand dollars?... to fix the newly renovated washington park "velo-drome."the city's parks commission approved a settlement agreement last night... between the city and "(rash) construction and engineering." according to "kenosha news"---- (rash) will replace part of the track's concrete surface that's cracked... ?and? hire a "soil-testing firm" to make sure the base is in correctly.a smaller section of the track with possible "voids"... replaced if needed. the agreement comes with a ?one- year warranty.?work is expected to begin by november 15-th. 3 a cool start on this tuesday. meteorologist michael schlesinger is talking more seasonable temperatures this week. 3 ((???1:45 seconds??)) cbs 58 news time is ?????.this is a ?live? look at ??????. 3 3 making news around the nation...protesters in columbus, ohio showed up at the city council meeting... looking for answers in the deadly police shooting of a 13- year-old african-american teenager. authorities in columbus say... (tie-ree) king was killed this month after the boy allegedly ?pulled out a b-b gun? that looked similar to a police handgun. handgun.police also say... king matched the description of ?an armed robbery suspect.? the protesters called on the columbus city council to

communities ... and ?focus more? on finding money for ?anti-violence and intervention? programs. 3 meanwhile protesters gathered in baton rouge to demand answers in the fatal police shooting of alton sterling.he was shot outside a convenience store in july after police responded to a call about a man threatening someone with a gun.police say officers fired at sterling when he tried to reach for his gun.cell phone video shows officers wrestling sterling to the ground before he was shot multiple times.the video caused national outcry.. and was followed officers in dallas and baton rouge. 3 new numbers from the fbi show an ?increase in violent crime? last year. year.the agency's annual crime data report... shows a 3- point-9-percent increase in violent crime from 20-14 to 20-15.the murder rate ?spiked by nearly 11-percent.? still--- the f-b-i notes.... those numbers are ?down? over a five-year and 10-year period. 3 some 20-million dollars will be split between more than 100 law enforcement agencies -- to buy body cameras... including
